Managing Broker License Renewal
Illinois Managing Brokers must complete their license renewal requirements and submit their renewal application and licensing fee to IDFPR on or before April 30, 2023. Education requirements are based upon the Managing Broker's original license date and date of completion of the managing broker pre-license coursework.

Licensed Feb. 1, 2021 to Jan. 31, 2023
Renew on or before April 30, 2023
Licensed between Feb. 1, 2019 and Jan. 31, 2021
Requirements are based on pre-license education completion date
Managing Brokers who were licensed between Feb. 1, 2021 and Jan. 31, 2023 AND completed the Managing Broker Pre-License education prior to May 1, 2021 must complete 24 hours of CE taken between May 1, 2021 and Apr. 30, 2023.
These 24 hours must include:
- 12 hours of Broker Management CE
- 4 hours of Core CE and
- 8 hours of Elective CE that includes 1 hour of sexual harassment prevention training.
Managing Brokers who were licensed between Feb. 1, 2021 and Jan. 31, 2023 AND completed the Managing Broker Pre-License education AFTER May 1, 2021 must complete 12 hours of CE taken between May 1, 2021 and Apr. 30, 2023.
These 12 hours must include:
- a minimum of 4 hours of Core CE and
- 8 hours of elective CE that includes 1 hour of sexual harassment prevention training.
Licensed after February 1, 2023
Renew on or before April 30, 2025
Licensed after February 1, 2023
You do not need to renew your license in 2023. Your license renewal deadline is Apr. 30, 2025.
